Corey Booker v.s Sharp James

The election for mayor in Newarf in 2002 was very interesting. Even though we did not finish watching the movie to see who won i believe Corey Booker would be the better person. Sharp James does not listen to everyone and it is either his way or no way. He is a liar and publishes false information in the newspaper. He also does not allow Corey Booker signs in windows or he brings the police to your house. Corey Booker on the otherhand, he listens to what people have to say. He was campaigning and he was removed by police because James knew he would lose voters because Booker was doing a great job. Corey Booker is easily the better choice for mayor in Newark.

1st Marking Period

I really enjoyed this class so far Mr. Dawson. It is very interesting and i learned alot from your class about politics that i did not know already. It helped me understand the election alot easier. This class is going to be alot of fun and i can tell because i am enjoying it as of now.

President Obama

History has been made. We have an african american president. He won the election against John McCain in a landslide and it was not even close at all. I believe Obama will improve our country. We need change, and Obama says he will bring change. I believe Obama will be a great president and good luck to him.

upendra chivukula i thought was a nice man. He answered all of the questions that we asked him very well. The thing that i did not like though was he thought of us more as high school students and did not realize the knowledge we had. He took us more lightly than he would take peopl ewho are older than us.

Holt V.S. Bateman

Rush Holt seemed to be a very interesting man. Bateman seemed to be more of a laid back guy. Holt has experience and gave better answers with more detail that sometimes went off topic a little. But overall i feel he did a good job. Alan Bateman on the otherhand, seems to be the better speaker of the two. Bateman's answers were shorter but more direct and better. One thing i found interesting is Bateman said that "you need to know when to get out." He was talking about Holt being in congress too long. But than he supports McCain who is a very old man and is running for president. It is contradicting because he said you should know when enough is enough but than he goes against what he said and supports John McCain.

Obama Won The Debate

I believe barack obama won the presidential debate last friday. He seemed to have more knowledge and more input than McCain did. He kept on saying "right john" to approach McCain, but McCain would never make eye contact with him. Obama used more power to give his input on the economic crisis. McCain did not seem to know what he was saying and that would not make us want to vote for him for president.

Mr. Dawson, The Man The Legend

The first time i met Mr Dawson was last year in the beginning og the school year. He was my Us 2 history teacher. I thought to myself when i walked in the classroom, "this man looks like he can model for a top of the line clothing company". Not only did he know how to style, but he is the best teacher anybody can ever ask for. He is a very cool man, laid back, jokes around, and most importantly lets us have fun while he teaches us. Who says we need McCain or Obama? Why not DAWSON!!! If Dawson was elected president he would be the best president our nation has ever had. Vote Sid the Kid Awesome Dawson for 2008 President!!!

Howard McCain is a joke. he is going to die in office. there should be no women allowed in the white house because they will mess this world up just like christina Piepoli. Christina please stop using words nobody can interpret. You are very smart but chill back homes. McCAIN IS A JOKE HOWARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

McCain Is Weak, But Still Projected To Win?

Alright here we go, John McCain probably gave one of the worst presidential speeches i ever heard. But somehow on this planet, he is still projected to win the Presidential election. How on earth can all this be possible? Maybe it is because he chose a WOMEN VICE PRESIDENT!! Thats right you heard it!! A women he chose to be his Vice President. So no matter who wins this 2008 election, there is going to either be a woman in the whitehouse besides the first lady, or THE FIRST EVER BLACK PRESIDENT!! This election is going to be remembered forever because no matter who wins ther is going to be a first of either a black or woman in the white house.

But besides this lets Get to how McCain is projected to win even though he gave a horrible speech. Maybe since he chose a woman vice president that is how he is projected to win.
